As the weather gets warmer I know I’m not the only one craving some delicious seafood! Right now, we can’t all go to the beach at the same time, but we can head safely to the store and grab some fresh seafood to make at home!
It’s always better to grab wild caught and organic vs. farmed or frozen. For this simple recipe grab a pound of raw shrimp. If you don’t already have these ingredients, you’ll need salt, pepper, granulated garlic and onion, Old Bay, and lime. And THAT’S IT!!
First, make sure to de-shell the shrimp and rinse them under cold water. Or, leave the shell on for an ultra-fast version. If you don’t like veins in your shrimp, you can devein them as well. To do this is simple, just slice down the middle back of the shrimp and then lift the black vein and toss it! Simply cook the shrimp in a steamer or in a cast iron pan until they are mostly pink, yet still have grey parts throughout. They will still cook once you take them off the fire!
If you want a side dish to accompany your shrimp, try homemade guacamole and some crispy tortilla chips, roast some corn on the cobb on the grill, or throw a quick salad together with some romaine hearts, green peppers, boiled egg, and whatever else you want to add (I love bacon bits, cheese, and croutons). Love youuu. Enjoy!
