Get Dressed Up
Who created the ideal that you have to go somewhere in order to get dressed up?! When you look
your best, you feel your best; and your sense of confidence always radiates (am I right?) Even if
you ARE, “just going to the living room”- take some time to pamper yourself and get ready the
same way you would if you were going out on the town! Take a nice relaxing shower or bath,
and then mix olive oil into your lotion to give your body lasting hydration and shine. You can
have some fun with your makeup or hairstyle, playing with styles you haven’t tried yet or in a
while! Then , omes picking out your outfit. You want to go for the wow factor! Choose a style
that’s comfortable, but fun, and maybe even a little sexy! Pull out that dress you’ve been dying to
wear out and rock it- or grab your favorite high waist, dark denim jeans to pair it with a lacy
tank, or crop top an boyfriend cardigan! Whatever makes you feel beautiful- pick that!
Order your Favorite Takeout
Now, more than ever food service businesses need your support! It’s a great time to place a to-go
order at your favorite local restaurant or try a new one you haven’t gotten around to yet! Chinese
takeout is always a fun idea- you can eat with chopsticks and read your fortune cookie
afterwards! Or, maybe you want a large fresh homemade pizza from your local Italian spot! The
possibilities are endless, and who doesn’t love the idea of vegging on the couch with your
partner, eating delicious food!?
Create a Movie Theater Experience
One typical date night activity is going to the movie theater to catch a new flick- but theaters
everywhere are shut down. Why not make your own movie theater experience from the comfort
of your own home?! First, create a snack bar. You can pop popcorn and have different flavors, or
add on options, get out candy and cookies, and anything else you’d usually snack on during a
movie! Then select your film. There are tons of amazing options out there and many different
ways you can choose what to watch. You can pop in a DVD, or stream on a service like Netflix
or Hulu, which have tons of options for all genres. Then, dim the lights and you’re ready to enjoy
your in-home theater experience!
Cook Together
Cooking together is a great date night option and a fun experience! Choose a recipe you can’t
wait to eat, and get cooking! Wash your hands & sanitize your cooking area, and then get all
your ingredients out and ready. Divvy up the tasks- (i.e. one person may chop and cook the
veggies, and another may prep and cook the meat!) Work together to create your culinary masterpiece and don’t forget to have fun on the way! It’s not about being perfect, it’s about picking a dish you both want to try and going for it!
