This one meant so much to me bc my mom was a 2x breast cancer survivor; and the short film is based on that. Seeing the breast cancer support group props really sent me, and I was deeply connected in a profound way!

We went home to Clarkton, NC where my Mom is from for the first time since her passing on 10.21.20

OUR UNCLE ERNIE GOT MARRIED! They brought the white horse carriage out and everything y’all!

It’s @rheawhitney, @ken_taki87 and my favorite place, bc it’s the place we were raised, worked every summer on the family homestead farm, and swam in literally EVERY body of water 🥴 (we turned out fine right..) 🥴 lol and the place where family, food, love, beer, beaches, and bonfires abound! The most comforting part of all? Everyone looks alike, and nothing ever changes. That’s part of the nostalgia of Farmer’s Union (our little, little, LITTLE town) It’s our home! And, I can’t help but be so proud to share it with you!

Ways to get around on sandy, dirt roads you ask? A truck, a tractor, a 4 wheeler or a go cart. DASSIT! And, boyyyy did we ALL get our chops driving all four of the above before driving anybody’s sedan. Like, give us any vehicle, and we can whip and park them ALL, honey!! 😂😎

Oh, and Chef V DEF. learned and owes EVERYTHING she knows to the people in this town. They taught me how to grow, harvest, forage and cook from the land to feed 100s upon 1000s 🙌🏽

Cousins grow older, elders pass away, and babies are born.. but through it all we have each other, and soooo much love and loyalty!! We laughed, cried, and turned up one good time for Mrs. Mae Wanda y’all (even though she didn’t drink) 😂😇🌸

These are MY people.. the Freemans , Moores, and Spauldings. All of them are farmers and master craftsman in different industries; building anything and everything from the ground up. Everything pictured my mom’s 5 brothers and my Grandaddy built with their bare hands, generational folklore, and love.

Then, on 1.7.16 we took the party to Cancun with 38 of our closest friends and family members.
